Políticas públicas e ação educativa no museu de arte contemporanea do Paraná

Abstract

This study deals with Public Policies for museums, and their notes regarding the educational aspect performed by these institutions, through educational action. Therefore, it was important to deal with assumptions and contexts experienced by our society in the field of art and education, such as the relations between art and capitalism, with the Military Dictatorship, as well as the changes, methodologies and legislation surrounding art-education. The museum and the school institutions are educational spaces. In this sense, the research analyzes the Public Policies for Museums at the federal and state levels. At the federal level, we chose to analyze three important documents which are: the National Museum Policy (2003); the National Museum Education Policy (2017) and the National Sectoral Museum Plan (2010). In the case of policies in this sector in the State of Parana, a survey of the current document, which is called the State Museums System (2006), was carried out. The research aims to analyze the notes described in the public policies for museums, if they are in consonance with the actions developed in Art museums in the city of Curitiba, in what concerns educational action. Among several art museums present in the city of Curitiba, which have an effective work when it comes to educational action, we opted for the Museum of Contemporary Art of Parana, where the analysis about the Institution's Museological Plan and the propositions and goals described by them was carried out. We observed many consonances in this analysis, but also propositions which must be carried out in order to provide access and cultural expansion to different audiences.
