A ação pedagógica e administrativa do gestor (diretor) perante a violência no espaço escolar

Abstract

This thesis presents the results of a research conducted in eight public schools in cities of the metropolitan area of Curitiba. Provides a mapping of the manifestations of violence at the school space and characterize the actions of the manager in addressing them. Through qualitative research approach, was used the following techniques of data collection: interviews, observation, questionnaires and documental analysis, in particular the legislation existent at the school, and legislation at the state and federal levels. The manifestations of violence related are, in this work, classified according to their incidence and, for each one of them were given the actions undertaken in schools. The violence in the scholar space was studied through relations with inequality, exclusion, and types of domination. To understand the "scholar violence" phenomenon was required reading paper works that discuss violence in different optics, including what regard to the production of it. Given the theories and field work, it was concluded that violence is produced inside and outside the school, that the actions of managers to address violence are punctual, occurring primarily intuitively, being the school isolated for these actions. Finally, it appears that there is need for joint action by different segments of society, in an intersectoral perspective, to face violence, with a closer look at the differences, diversity and exclusion.
