Profissionalização e etnicidade na formação dos filhos dos imigrantes Suábios em entre rios, Paraná: a proposta curricular do conjunto educacional Imperatriz Dona Leopoldina (1974)

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to study the curricular proposal of the three technical courses offered by the joint educational “Conjunto Educacional Dona Leopoldina” in 1974: the Technical course in Agricultural, the Technical course in Domestic Economy and the Technical course in Accounting, from an analysis of the curricular matrices and the education planning´. The Swabian immigrants, known as Donauschwaben, had colonized the Entre Rios region, in the central-west of the Paraná State starting from 1951. The enterprise that has given support to the group was Cooperativa Agrária, assisting in the land acquisition, in the organization of the five colonies and in the entire infrastructure that the group of immigrants needed. The primary schools were also established with the assistance of the Cooperative and, later, an entire educational complex was created, especially in order to serve the youngsters, sons of the immigrants that finished their studies in the primary education. Along this path, we aim to answer the following question: how do the technical courses offered in 1974, in the “Conjunto Educacional Imperatriz Dona Leopoldina”, have assisted to constitute a school of the immigrant’s sons and for them? How do the elements work, professional identity, gender and German origins were able to stablish certain representations from the Swabian immigrants group with school and the community? In order to be able to answer those questioning, we have proposed to analyze the context of the creation, organization and functioning of the “Conjunto Educacional Imperatriz Dona Leopoldina”; verifying how was stablished the curricula proposal of the school institution in the beginning of the decade of 1970; analyzing The Pedagogical proposal and Curricula of the “Conjunto Educational Imperatriz Dona Leopoldina” in 1974; comprehending the articulation of the disciplines of the “Núcleo de Formação Geral e Especial” and the elements work, professional identity, gender and German origins. Because this is about a study of historical character, we have chosen a research of the bibliographical and documental sort, resorting to the analysis of the pedagogical proposal and curricular of the “Conjunto Educacional Imperatriz Dona leopoldina” dated from 1974 contemplating the following methodological procedures: localization, data surveys, lists and source analysis. For this purpose, we have collected documents from the files of the “Colégio Imperatriz Dona Leopoldina” and from the data collection, the German origins, as representation element passed through the entire constitution of the ethnic school in Entre Rios, mainly as the history of the immigrants.The principles of the Deutschtum, that is, the German origins, have become in our point of view, a movement of the permanence of the Germanic culture in Brazilian land and it connected itself to an entire moment of curricula proposals, promoting the constitution of a school of the sons of Swabian immigrants and for them in Entre Rios.
