Desenvolvimento e avaliação da eficácia de uma intervenção preventiva primária ao abuso sexual infantil

Abstract

The present study aims to present a primary preventive intervention of Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) for children in situations of social vulnerability from seven to nine years old, which involved the safety network, as well as parents and guardians. This study was divided into three chapters. The first refers to a systematic review that explores primary preventive practices with children and with adults who work with them. The second chapter describes an intervention entitled PROTEGER in a detailed manner, emphasizing the methodological process; and the third chapter focuses on assessing the effectiveness of the CSA program. The results show that the intervention called PROTEGER is an effective tool for the instrumentalization of children in situations of social vulnerability, after being submitted to the intervention, the children began to identify potentially abusive situations, to differentiate abusive and non-abusive situations and presented significant results regarding increased self-protective behaviors. Likewise, the analysis showed that participation in the intervention process does not show signs of harm such as feelings of fear and anxiety in children.
