As interações como processo comunicacional na construção do conhecimento empírico

Abstract

Interpersonal relationship and interactions are manifested in the convergence between culture and communication, and in the way they are equivalent within organizations. As a practical example of interactions, the work carried out in the Library System (SiBi) of the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), in the use of the administrative instrument 'commissions', demonstrates how organizations become structures of interaction. This dissertation has the objective to understand how these relationships are constructed, articulated and concretized by placing communication in the making process of discoveries in the librarians work; Its dynamics; And its role in strengthening and integrating knowledge. The SiBi is composed by 20 libraries distributed in Curitiba and in the interior of Paraná state. The geographic dispersion, the librarians framework size, the inherent demands, the use of control mechanisms and the dissemination of the generated knowledge are juxtaposed with the absence of an internal organizational communication program and the lack of communicational behavior. In this way, the analyze of how the interactions are mutually coordinated to reach a common understanding about something or a situation; How action allows all participating individuals to mutually coordinate their own actions and achieve the stated goals; How they use individual knowledge and skills that support and indicate how they face concrete situations; And, how the mediation through language, which acts as the coordinator of the activities inherent to the interaction itself and the socialization of the participants, assumes understanding functions. This is a qualitative research carried through semi-structured interviews with librarians who were coordinators of committes or working groups distributed in the units that make up the SiBi. An interview guide has been used that allows flexibility and magnification of the questions as the information is provided. The questions are focused on the communication between librarians about their professional doing. From then on, the data collected were comparatively analyzed, tabulated and interpreted. It finds that, the need to reorganize the interactions in the construction of the empirical knowledge generated by librarians of the SiBi about their professional doing, their relations, processes and communicational actions is discussed. Subsidies are proposed to formalize a Communication Policy for the knowledge dissemination
