Políticas públicas para ação educativa em museus de arte: museu Oscar Niemeyer em Curitiba

Abstract

This Dissertation has as study the Public Policies for Educational Action in the Art Museums, specifically at the Oscar Niemeyer Museum (MON) in Curitiba in the State of Paraná. The problem is in understanding what are the procedures in MON Educational Actions. The objective is to understand education in art museums based on analyzes of the MON Educational Action Reports of the years 2018 and 2019. As specific objectives is to analyze the Educational Action at MON in compliance with the proposed educational foundations, in verifying the public policies for educational action in art museums in Brazil and to analyze education in art museums in accordance with the contributions of the aforementioned authors and with the public policies determined for art museums. In the first chapter, the theoretical foundation deals with educational methodologies seeking a discussion with the assumptions of museum education. Such theoretical foundations of Education support the analysis of education in art museums, with the contribution of Dermeval Saviani, Duarte Jr., Vicent Lanier and Ana Mae Barbosa. The second chapter presents legal documents promulgated for the purpose of implementing a museum policy with an emphasis on Museal Education. The third chapter analyzes the procedures in educational activities at MON based on the Educational Action Reports of 2018 and 2019 in accordance with the proposed educational foundations and with the public policies determined for art museums. We understand Art in education as fundamental to the development of creativity, sensitivity and understanding of the world, as the spectator, when faced with the works of art present in the museum, learns about Art and its contexts of production and history.
